Our Mission
We believe that discipleship is central to Christ's message of the Good News of the Kingdom of God. Reclaiming what it means to be Christ-followers, by implementing the principles and practices He taught us, will bring about lasting life-change and spiritual offspring. DEM seeks to educate, inspire, equip, and train everyday followers of Christ to adhere to the will and ways of God our Father, thus becoming more like Christ in our inner person and outer practice.

5 Points in Sharing our Faith

May 18, 2015Dale Ebel

In Acts 17, when the Apostle Paul addressed the Stoics, Epicureans, and Greek philosophers on Mars Hill, where did he begin? With Creation. Notice how carefully he builds his argument, step by step. First, he identifies God as the ultimate origin of the world: “The God who made the world and everything in it is the LORD…

Law or Grace? What’s the Relationship?

May 11, 2015Dale Ebel

One of the most profound truths that I have learned in the last four years is the fact that the “Law” is far more then a bunch of restrictive, prohibitive, rules and regulations. The Torah (first five books of the Bible) means teaching, instruction or what I like to call, “God’s Instruction Manual for Life.” Most…

God’s Standards and Teachings Convict of Sin

May 8, 2015Dale Ebel

Scripture tells us that even Gentiles who were not raised under the teaching of the Law understand in their hearts and consciences the moral claims of the Law. “They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other…

Prayer is Directed TO God, Not Directing God

May 4, 2015Dale Ebel

“And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.” – Romans 8:27 NIV Prayer is directed to God, not directing God. Pastor David Guzik comments on the above verse saying, “The Holy Spirit’s help in intercession is perfect because He searches the hearts of…

Believing God for Amazing Things

May 2, 2015Dale Ebel

“Women received back their dead, raised to life again. Others were tortured and refused to be released, so that they might gain a better resurrection.” – Hebrews 11:35 NIV God continually calls us to believe things that we cannot see, become someone we are not, accomplish feats that are clearly beyond our abilities and then holds…

Feel Better But Don’t Become Better?

May 1, 2015Dale Ebel

“Since everything around us is going to be destroyed like this, what holy and godly lives you should live,” – 2 Peter 3:11 NLT God is not a drug, and He certainly does not create experiences and emotions that make us feel better but not become better. Being conformed into the image of Christ (Sanctification)…

As shrewd as…?

April 28, 2015Dale Ebel

“I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.” – Matthew 10:16 NIV One of the dangers of civilized faith is that we become so domesticated we begin to live as shrewd as the dove. In reality, we are to be like serpents who…

Fellowship or Followership?

April 27, 2015Dale Ebel

“And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” [20] Immediately they left their nets and followed him.” – Mat 4:19-20 ESV Jesus Christ’s central call was followership while it seems in Christendom we make the central call fellowship. Why is this the case? The truth is when we…
