Our Mission
We believe that discipleship is central to Christ's message of the Good News of the Kingdom of God. Reclaiming what it means to be Christ-followers, by implementing the principles and practices He taught us, will bring about lasting life-change and spiritual offspring. DEM seeks to educate, inspire, equip, and train everyday followers of Christ to adhere to the will and ways of God our Father, thus becoming more like Christ in our inner person and outer practice.

To Be Heaven-Oriented is to be Goal-Oriented

April 7, 2015Dale Ebel

“Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,” – Philippians 3:13 NIV

“To be heaven-oriented is to be goal-oriented.” – Randy Alcorn, Heaven, p. 455

Goals help us live effectively, or at least feel like we’re living effectively. If we are to take an eternal perspective in life, we are always wise to set our sights toward heaven; to make goals that have to do with our character and who we are becoming in Christ!

Maybe you want to grow in patience? In boldness, or in some tangible aspect of love. Make goals toward these things and begin to trust God for the power to walk in obedience!

In Christ,

Dale
