“He [The Holy Spirit] will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.” – John 16:14
In the tri-unity or the Three Person Godhead, (the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit) it is helpful to recognize that there is an equality of Being but not an equality of function. Each serves a unique role.
In the verse above, Jesus says that the Spirit will glorify the Son. When it comes to the Holy Spirit, J.I. Packer rightly asserts, “the work of the Spirit is a floodlight ministry quietly turning everyone’s attention away from himself and to the savior.”
