Our Mission
We believe that discipleship is central to Christ's message of the Good News of the Kingdom of God. Reclaiming what it means to be Christ-followers, by implementing the principles and practices He taught us, will bring about lasting life-change and spiritual offspring. DEM seeks to educate, inspire, equip, and train everyday followers of Christ to adhere to the will and ways of God our Father, thus becoming more like Christ in our inner person and outer practice.

Power of the Spoken Word

July 10, 2015Dale Ebel

“All the people assembled with a unified purpose at the square just inside the Water Gate. They asked Ezra the scribe to bring out the Book of the Law of Moses, which the LORD had given for Israel to obey. So on October 8 Ezra the priest brought the Book of the Law before the assembly, which included the men and women and all the children old enough to understand. He faced the square just inside the Water Gate from early morning until noon and read aloud to everyone who could understand. All the people listened closely to the Book of the Law.” – Nehemiah 8:1-3 NLT

“The Holy Scriptures can alone secure to society order and peace, and to our courts of justice and constitutions of government, purity stability, and usefulness…” – James McHenry, Signer of the Constitution

Remember how powerful the spoken Word of God is! As the Apostle Paul says, “so faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” – Romans 10:17 ESV
