Marriage and Farming

February 20, 2015Dale Ebel

“Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for in You do I trust” – Psalm 143:8. NKJV

Making marriage work is like operating a farm. You have to start all over in the morning.

Maybe today you need to be reminded of the Lord’s lovingkindness as it relates to your marriage. God knows that both you and your spouse are imperfect. You both sin, and you both need grace. Praise the Lord that His tender mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23) and that through the Presence and power of the Holy Spirit, you are enabled to forgive, start fresh, and sacrificially serve one another.

This week you might consider reciting Psalm 143:8 with you spouse each morning as you surrender the day together on your knees.

In Jesus,

Dale
