We believe that discipleship is central to Christ's message of the Good News of the Kingdom of God. Reclaiming what it means to be Christ-followers, by implementing the principles and practices He taught us, will bring about lasting life-change and spiritual offspring. DEM seeks to educate, inspire, equip, and train everyday followers of Christ to adhere to the will and ways of God our Father, thus becoming more like Christ in our inner person and outer practice.

A Quiz to Expand our Biblical Wisdom and Knowledge 

The following 12 questions and Scriptures are from some of my recent studies. Please attempt to answer the questions and provide your responses without looking up the Scriptural answers. I will provide the answers and my comments in a few days. ☺

I gave this to the last men’s group I recently taught, and some guys asked if there were trick questions. THERE ARE NO TRICK QUESTIONS

“He who gets wisdom loves his own soul; He who keeps understanding will find good.” – Proverbs 19:8 NKJV

  1. What was Christ’s central message? Circle one for your answer: salvation, love, the Kingdom of God/Heaven, compassion, forgiveness, (Matthew 4:17, 23;9:35; 24:14, Luke 4:43;81). 
  1. To form disciples which two did Christ emphasize?  Grace, repentance, belief, or followership.  
  1. Circle the three sets of two words, that express “incarnational” the most: Go/connect, Invite/ join, engage/participate in, attend/gather, enter/reach out to, retreat to/withdraw. John 1:14
  1. Have you ever led a home church in your house? Philemon 1:2
  1. What verse is on the liberty bell? 

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to [them that are] bound;” – Isaiah 61:1 KJV

Or

  1. The German priest, Martin Luther, corrected the error of “salvation by works” by emphasizing the doctrine of faith and faith alone. What was incomplete about his definition of faith? James 2:14

  1. Identify the last time you took a significant risk for Christ? 2 Corinthians 11:23-29
  1. How many books are you presently reading or have read this last year? 2 Timothy 4:13.
  1. In the State of Oregon, are the Oregon Supreme Court Judges elected? Circle your answer. Yes, No.
