Our Mission
We believe that discipleship is central to Christ's message of the Good News of the Kingdom of God. Reclaiming what it means to be Christ-followers, by implementing the principles and practices He taught us, will bring about lasting life-change and spiritual offspring. DEM seeks to educate, inspire, equip, and train everyday followers of Christ to adhere to the will and ways of God our Father, thus becoming more like Christ in our inner person and outer practice.

A Life of Worship

March 25, 2014Dale Ebel

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” – Deuteronomy 6:4-5

“All Christian spirituality can be traced back to Jesus’ complete (re) affirmation of the Shema, (Deuteronomy 6:4, “Hear, O Israel…), —the unavoidable call to live a life of wholeness under the One True God loving Him with heart, soul, mind, strength, and loving one’s neighbors as oneself. – Alan Hirsch

How’s your love toward God today? Are you distracted or hurried? Worried or fearful?

Cultivating a life of worshipful obedience to God is the foundation for all wholeness and peace one could ever hope to experience. So how’s that going for you?  Consider your “heart”, “soul”, “mind” and “strength” today. In what ways is each of these growing in affection and adoration of King Jesus? Talk with the Lord about the state of your heart today. He knows the status of your heart far better than you do. Come honestly before Him and ask Him to show you how you can specifically grow in living a life of worship.

In Jesus,

Dale
