“Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be handed over to the saints, the people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.” – Daniel 7:27 NIV
“Establishing God’s kingdom was never about an immaterial spirit realm. It always concerned the one place in the universe made for mankind, the one place where God’s reign has been disputed: Earth.”
– Randy Alcorn in Heaven, p. 222
Did you catch that “all rulers will worship and obey” (Dan. 7:27) God? It’s easy to think that there will be only One Ruler, Jesus Christ, and in one sense this is absolutely true. However, Scripture still maintains that there will be leaders – lowercase “rulers” – who will righteously rule “nations” in the New Earth, in subordination to Christ (See Isaiah 60 & Revelation 21).
Heaven will be far more “tangible” and “real” then we sometimes are led to believe.
In Christ,
