When raising our children we usually kept Friday night for Family Night. Sometimes we played board games, went for pizza, a football game, movie, miniature golf or bowling.
Dale played “Tickle Bug” in the dark – like hide & seek – in the house and in the yard. He would tickle the kids if he caught them.
We tried to make learning the Bible fun, too. When we first married we didn’t have a TV for seven years, by choice. For family devotions we would act out Bible stories and try to guess which story it was. Putting on puppet shows also helped us teach character qualities from the Bible to our preschoolers.
Our three kids having fun with their families are pictured here. Brandon and Corrie Ebel’s family in the old car, Jeff and Heather McNown’s family on the Frog Hopper and Seth and Vanessa playing with Jude.
