Dale and Linda Ebel are serving the local community doing ministry in a variety of areas that have been stirring in their hearts and minds for a number of years while involving others in the process.
HISTORY and PASTORAL EXPERIENCE:
Dale has been in full-time Christian pastoral ministry for over thirty-seven years. In 2009 he retired from Rolling Hills Community Church in Tualatin, Oregon where he was the founding pastor, having established the congregation, along with his wife, Linda, and four other families, on Feb. 1, 1978. Dale served as Lead Pastor there for over thirty-one years while the church grew to a congregation of 4,500. Rolling Hills continues to be an anchor church in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area.
Prior to establishing Rolling Hills, Dale worked as Youth Pastor and Christian Education Pastor in previous churches in Oregon, Texas and California, and while an undergraduate student at Oregon State University, he was involved as the student leader of Campus Crusade for Christ, leading 400 collegians in weekly gatherings. Linda taught elementary school full-time before the Ebels started their family. Once settled in Oregon and moving to West Linn, Linda worked as a substitute teacher for ten years in the West Linn/Wilsonville and Oregon City School Districts. She also managed a Christian Supply retail store and was Dale’s Administrative Assistant at Rolling Hills for a number of years.
After retiring from Rolling Hills, Dale Ebel launched Dale Ebel Ministries that will serve the local community and people from various churches and ministries.
EDUCATION:
Dale earned a Master of Divinity (M Div), a three-year graduate degree, from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon In 1977. His first year of graduate school was spent at Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas, and he also took a few classes at Talbot Theological Seminary in La Mirada, California. While working towards his graduate degree, Dale studied New Testament, Hebrew Scriptures, Greek, Hebrew, Biblical History, Biblical Theology, Homiletics (Preaching), and Pastoral Ministry, graduating as one of six finalists for the Homiletic Award at Western. Dale’s undergraduate degree is from Oregon State University, where he completed his Bachelor of Science in History. Linda graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University.
MISSION EXPERIENCE:
Dale organized and led eight Youth Mexico Mission Trips while Youth Pastor for San Clemente Presbyterian Church in California and participated in two others led by the Rolling Hills Youth Department. During these trips, they served in orphanages for deaf children, helped local churches with construction projects, and participated in agricultural efforts.
Other outreaches Dale has been a part of include: Camp Pendleton Military Base Service Projects, California; Portland, Oregon Service Projects: Inner city clean up and backyard Bible clubs for underprivileged children, both of these through Rolling Hills local mission trips; feeding and clothing the poor; landscaping for public schools; painting for Friends of the Children; environmental clean up for SOLV; helping single moms and special needs kids; construction for Habitat for Humanity. He has been to Israel three times and twice led groups on tours of Biblical sites of the Holy Land.
PERSONAL:
Dale and Linda met while both were serving on Student Summer Staff for Campus Crusade for Christ at Arrowhead Springs Conference Center in San Bernardino, California in 1967. They married the following summer, in 1968, and have three grown children and ten grandchildren.

Their daughter, Heather, and her husband, Dr. Jeff McNown, live in West Linn. Jeff is a Chiropractic Physician and he and Heather established McNown Chiropractic Clinic in West Linn in 2005. They have five children. www.mcnownclinic.com
Their son, Seth, is Community Life Pastor of The Shoreline Church of San Clemente in California. Seth and his wife Vanessa reside in San Clemente and they have two children. www.theshoreline.org
