“Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each of you is to return to your family property and to your own clan.” – Leviticus 25:10 NIV
Religious freedom is the hinge upon which all of our liberties turn. If we don’t acknowledge God as the source of our freedoms, then government will be the only source — and eliminate our freedom as it pleases.

In July, 1776 the American nation was officially born. On July 2, 1776, Congress voted to approve the complete separation and on July 4, they approved the Declaration of Independence—the nation’s birth certificate.
Four days later on July 8, the famous bell hanging in the tower of Independence Hall (now known as the Liberty Bell) was rung to call citizens to assemble together outside the State House for a special announcement. When the crowd gathered the Declaration was read.
Most citizens today assume that the famous bell derives its name from the fact that it rang when America announced its liberty, but such is not the case. It is called the Liberty Bell because of the Biblical inscription from Leviticus 25:10 emblazoned around it:
“Proclaim liberty through out the land unto all the inhabitants thereof.”
What was uniquely different with our forefathers was that God’s Truth was not simply for one’s private consumption but when acted upon would direct and shape a society.
